SLIME – IT’S EVERYWHERE

Kids love making DIY slime; recipes and ingredients for the goopy mixture are seemingly everywhere. To make it yourself, mix two parts cornstarch to one part water for one of the easiest homemade slime recipes out there.

Or look online for a slime recipe made out of powdered fiber you can buy at the grocery store. Perhaps the best recipe of all is the one that’s edible, because you know how tempting it is to taste your creations. Try melting gummy bears before adding powdered sugar and cornstarch. Just make sure to brush your teeth after eating it! A caution about using popular recipes that include household chemicals: while some medical professionals say the amount of chemicals used in slime is too insignificant to cause any issues, others point out that chemicals – even in very small amounts – have no place in the hands of a child.
