How much does your workspace impact the work you do there? Many designers believe there is a significant connection between the things you surround yourself with and your creative output.
Essentially, a cluttered office equals a cluttered mind. To create space in your mind, you have to create physical space around you. Important factors to upping your creativity are natural light and mirrors, which make a room feel open and airy. Forgo dark, heavy “traditional” office furniture and choose something lighter and more elegant. As for your office chair, it should be comfortable, but not bulky. And, of course, the colours you surround yourself with are incredibly important. Think soft blues, greens, greys and whites. Most importantly, remember it’s your office – it should be filled with things that inspire you and light your creative fire.
